The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) made a significant arrest on Wednesday, detaining an assistant professor from the College of Agriculture in Pasighat, Arunachal Pradesh, for allegedly accepting a bribe of Rs 55,000.
Authorities also apprehended another person implicated in the transaction, both of whom were caught during the exchange of money.
A complaint about the professor soliciting bribes to award contracts and release payments triggered a CBI investigation, leading to the arrests and ongoing searches at the accused's premises.
