The Bilenkivska Correctional Colony was hit by four guided aerial bombs, Ukrainian authorities reported. Among the injured, 42 inmates suffered serious injuries necessitating hospitalization, while another 40 individuals, including one staff member, endured various injuries.

The strike, which caused destruction of the prison's dining hall and damage to administrative and quarantine buildings, has drawn sharp condemnation from Ukrainian officials. They labeled the targeting of civilian infrastructure such as prisons as a war crime under international law.
