On Tuesday, a local court handed down a life sentence to Samayveer, convicted of raping a seven-year-old girl in 2017. The Additional Sessions Judge, Vikas Nagar, presided over the POCSO Court and levied a Rs 50,000 fine as part of the penalty, Special Public Prosecutor JP Bhati confirmed.
According to reports, the incident occurred in 2017 when Samayveer abducted the victim while she played outside her home and committed the grievous act in a nearby field.
This verdict underscores the gravity with which the judicial system is treating such offenses, aiming to deliver justice for heinous crimes against minors.
