In a fervent appeal during the Zero Hour in Lok Sabha, BJP MP and actor Ravi Kishan called for a government intervention to standardize food prices at various food outlets like hotels, restaurants, and dhabas.
Highlighting disparities, Kishan pointed out how prices and sizes of food items such as samosas vary significantly from place to place, urging for regulation that covers price, quality, and portion sizes.
Ravi Kishan praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi's transformative changes and pressed for attention on this issue. Meanwhile, another BJP MP, Damodar Agarwal, highlighted illegal mining activities in Rajasthan's Bhilwara, accusing Jindal Saw Ltd of causing environmental harm and calling for central action.
