Tragedy Strikes: Panchayat Member's Shocking Death Amidst Rape Allegations

A 32-year-old panchayat member in Yamuna Nagar committed suicide following rape accusations by a female relative. His family claims the charges were false and drove him to this extreme step. Police have charged six individuals, including the accuser, with abetment to suicide.

A panchayat member from Yamuna Nagar, aged 32, tragically took his own life on Wednesday after being accused of rape by a female relative. Authorities confirmed the incident, noting that the day before, the member was embroiled in controversy following these serious allegations.

Known as Deepak, he served as a block development committee member in the Karchhana area. Deputy Commissioner of Police Vivek Chand Yadav highlighted that Deepak was facing legal action after being charged with molestation and rape at the Karchhana Police Station.

Deepak's family has countered the claim, describing the accusations as false and blaming them for his suicide. As the investigation unfolds, six individuals, including the 35-year-old female accuser Rekha Pandey, have been apprehended on charges of abetment to suicide.
