A division bench of the Calcutta High Court has refused to entertain suspended TMC leader Sheikh Shajahan's petition to appeal against a CBI investigation into the alleged murders of three BJP workers in Sandeshkhali.

The court emphasized that an accused person does not have the right to decide on the investigating agency, upholding a previous order directing a CBI investigation into the killings.

Sheikh Shajahan, currently in judicial remand over a money laundering case, had sought to challenge the judgment, but the high court maintained its stance, asserting that an accused cannot interfere at the investigative stage.
