Notorious Thief Arrested in High-Profile Gold Chain Snatching

Delhi Police have apprehended 24-year-old Sohan Rawat for snatching a gold chain from Tamil Nadu MP R Sudha. Caught through CCTV tracking, Rawat has a record of 26 prior offences, mostly thefts and snatchings. Delhi Police successfully apprehended a 24-year-old repeat offender, Sohan Rawat, on Wednesday for allegedly snatching a gold chain from Congress MP R Sudha. This startling incident unfolded during her morning walk near Tamil Nadu Bhavan.

Officers managed to track Rawat's movements through CCTV footage, which led to his swift arrest. Rawat has a troubling history, having been involved in 26 previous cases of theft and snatching, making this capture significant for local crime rate reductions.

In addition to the gold chain, police recovered a scooter utilized in the crime, four stolen mobile phones, and a motorcycle. Notably, Delhi has seen a 48% drop in snatching-related calls, indicating improved enforcement strategies.
