Deadly Artillery Strike in Nikopol: Three Killed in Russian Shelling
Three people were killed and four injured in a Russian artillery shelling in Nikopol, southeastern Ukraine, according to regional governor Serhiy Lysak. The victims, two men and a woman, were hit during the frequent attacks on this Ukrainian-held town near the Dnipro River, with one victim being an emergency worker.
In a tragic escalation of violence, Russian artillery shelling claimed the lives of three individuals and left four others injured on Wednesday in the southeastern Ukrainian town of Nikopol. Regional governor Serhiy Lysak confirmed the casualties.
The victims, including two men and a woman, suffered fatal injuries in an area that frequently comes under intense Russian fire. Nikopol, which is positioned on the Ukrainian-held northern bank of the Dnipro River, has been a hotspot of conflict.
The unfortunate strike reportedly hit a vehicle belonging to the state emergency services, leading to the death of an emergency worker, as reported by RBK-Ukraine media outlet.
