Sources say the incident unfolded on Wednesday night when Singh, 30, was at home cleaning his service pistol. Upon hearing of his cousin's health emergency, Singh rushed out, but tragically, the gun accidentally fired at the gate, leading to his fatal injury.
Both Singh and his cousin were taken to different hospitals but were declared dead on arrival. Authorities have taken custody of the bodies and are conducting a thorough investigation to understand the sequence of events that led to this grievous loss.
