An auto rickshaw driver was intercepted near Agartala with yaba tablets worth Rs 1.35 crore, police reported on Friday.

The arrest occurred after police pursued an auto rickshaw from Khayerpur to Amtali during a routine inspection on Thursday night, according to an officer.

"We recovered 90,000 yaba tablets from the auto rickshaw and arrested the driver," confirmed West Tripura Superintendent of Police Namit Pathak, citing ongoing investigations.
