The opposition Congress has launched a scathing attack on Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan following critical remarks from a Vigilance Court. The court dismissed the initial clean chit given to IPS officer M R Ajith Kumar regarding a case of disproportionate assets.
Leader of Opposition V D Satheesan asserted that the vigilance court clearly labeled CM Vijayan's actions as ''unconstitutional''. He suggested that the chief minister lacks the moral authority to maintain his position, especially given the court's decision which highlighted illegal interventions.
As the controversy deepens, parallels have been drawn to former UDF minister K M Mani's resignation over judicial observations in a past scandal, questioning Vijayan's silence on the current court's remarks.
