Colombia Under Siege: FARC Dissidents Strike Again
In Colombia, at least 18 people perished and over 40 were injured in two attacks attributed to FARC dissident factions. In Cali, a vehicle explosion near an Aerospace Force base resulted in six deaths and 71 injuries, while a helicopter downing in Antioquia killed 12 officers.

Colombia faced a harrowing day of violence as 18 people were confirmed dead following two separate attacks linked to dissident factions of the former FARC guerrilla group.
In Cali, authorities reported a tragic incident where a cargo vehicle laden with explosives detonated near a Colombian Aerospace Force base. This attack resulted in six fatalities and left 71 individuals injured.
Earlier, in Antioquia's municipality of Amalfi, a Black Hawk helicopter involved in a coca eradication mission was shot down, claiming the lives of 12 National Police officers. President Gustavo Petro holds the FARC dissidents, who refused the 2016 peace accord, responsible for these atrocities.
