A Delhi court has imposed a fine of Rs 10,000 on a police officer for failing to file a supplementary chargesheet in a POCSO case, even after collecting the forensic science laboratory (FSL) report.

The case, which was heard by Additional Sessions Judge Mona Tardi Kerketta, involved charges under Section 6 of the POCSO Act. It emerged that the officer had acquired the FSL report on April 3, yet had not filed it along with the necessary documents.

The court's August 5 order stated that investigator Rajveer, a woman sub-inspector, was fined due to the lack of explanation for the delay. If Rajveer had been transferred, the fine would be paid by the Neb Sarai station's SHO.
