Inspector General of Police, Kashmir Zone, V K Birdi, conducted a comprehensive review of the security situation in the valley on Tuesday.
In a strategic meeting with range officers and district police heads, Birdi was briefed on the law and order conditions by senior police superintendents.
Birdi underscored the importance of fortifying investigations and building strong cases to boost conviction rates in narcotics and terrorism cases. He urged officers to intensify area domination, conduct night patrols in sensitive regions, and keep vigilant surveillance on anti-national elements, alongside enhancing market checks to thwart unlawful activities.
