A speeding car reportedly lost control on the Prayagraj-Lucknow highway, resulting in a tragic accident that left three pedestrians dead and two others injured. The police confirmed that the accident occurred around 9 pm on Tuesday near the Mirgadhwa crossing.
Circle Officer Amarnath Gupta stated that the car, traveling from Prayagraj to Lucknow, struck four people before overturning. The victims were swiftly transported to CHC hospital in Kalakankar, where doctors pronounced Madhu Prakash Sonkar, 30, dead on arrival.
Three others—Jhannay Saroj, Arun Yadav, and Shilpi—were referred to AIIMS, Raebareli, where Saroj and Yadav later died. Meanwhile, car driver Shakti Mishra and co-passenger Disha Sahni are receiving treatment, and authorities have impounded the vehicle for investigation.
