During the centenary Vijayadashmi rally, RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat emphasized the foundational role of Hindu society in ensuring national unity and development. He regarded it as a force embracing inclusivity, advocating a mindset that dismisses divisive narratives. Bhagwat underscored the importance of 'swavalamban' or self-reliance, suggesting that while global interdependence is essential, it should not become a constraint.
He urged citizens to respect varied beliefs, stressing social unity as vital to the nation's progress amidst its diversity. Bhagwat criticized any form of vigilantism or violent behavior, warning against actions aimed at inciting community tensions. He championed law-abiding governance and recommended active social vigilance to uphold order.
In response to the Pahalgam attack, Bhagwat commended the government's strong reaction and highlighted the importance of developing security capabilities. He expressed concern over regional instability and called for harmonious relations based on precedence, highlighting the significance of indigenous resources and ecological sustainability in addressing the flaws of global economic systems.
