A village head from Hardoi, Uttar Pradesh, has been detained after allegedly staging his own murder to frame a debtor. The accused, Yatish Singh alias Kallu, went missing on September 29, sparking a police investigation.
Yatish's disappearance initiated when his cousin, Shobhit Kumar, reported him missing, claiming Yatish informed a family member of his supposed murder near Hardoi. His abandoned car was found on the Hardoi-Sandi road, escalating suspicion and leading to a case against unknown individuals.
Under the guidance of the Superintendent of Police, investigative teams used surveillance tactics to uncover the truth. Yatish was discovered alive and admitted to orchestrating the faux murder to falsely accuse Viresh Singh, a man failing to repay a loan. Legal processes remain ongoing.
