In a shocking turn of events, police successfully rescued a seven-year-old boy who was allegedly kidnapped by his mother's former partner in an attempt to pressure her into rekindling their relationship. The prime suspect, Ajay Verma, along with three accomplices, is now in police custody.
The victim's mother had once lived with Verma in Haryana along with her son from a previous marriage. However, she moved back to her parents in Delhi after Verma became possessive and violent. In response, police say, Verma conspired to abduct the child with help from his associates.
Authorities utilized CCTV and social media surveillance to track the accused. The investigation led them to a farm in Hansi, where the boy was safely rescued. The suspects, including a 20-year-old with a prior illegal arms case, have since been charged under relevant legal provisions.
