On Wednesday, security forces intensified their efforts to locate terrorists suspected to be hiding in the dense forest regions of Jammu and Kashmir's Rajouri and Udhampur districts, according to officials.
The hunt followed a brief encounter on Tuesday evening between police forces and terrorists in the Beeranthub area of Kandi, Rajouri. Additionally, authorities reported the presence of three alleged terrorists in Dharni top, Basantgarh, Udhampur.
Supported by the army and CRPF, police reinforced the area cordon and initiated an expansive search earlier today. There has yet to be further engagement with the suspects, though the search has expanded to nearby areas, as confirmed by Inspector General of Police, Jammu, Bhim Sen Tuti.
