China opposed to Dutch government's interference in company internal affairs

China's commerce ministry said on Thursday that it opposed interference in the internal affairs of enterprises through administrative means, after the Dutch government took control of Chinese-owned chipmaker Nexperia.

China hopes the Netherlands will uphold independence and autonomy, "correct wrong practices" and protect the legitimate rights and interests of Chinese investors, He Yongqian, a spokesperson for the commerce ministry, told a press briefing.

China will take the necessary measures to safeguard the lawful rights and interests of Chinese enterprises, He said.
