The Special Investigation Team (SIT), investigating the disappearance of gold from the Sabarimala temple, has arrested former administrative officer B Murari Babu. Official sources confirmed his arrest on Wednesday night at his Changanassery residence.

Following his suspension by the Travancore Devaswom Board (TDB) amid the gold missing controversy, Babu was transferred to the Crime Branch office in Thiruvananthapuram for thorough interrogation.

The SIT, operating under the Kerala High Court's directions, is preparing to present Babu before the Judicial First Class Magistrate Court in Pathanamthitta and will likely seek his custody for detailed questioning regarding the vanished gold from the temple's Dwarapalaka idols.
