The Border Security Force (BSF) achieved a significant success by arresting a minor involved in smuggling 11 gold biscuits, valued at an estimated Rs 1.64 crore, in the North 24 Parganas district of West Bengal, according to official reports released on Thursday.
Leveraging specific intelligence, BSF personnel stopped the young suspect near Daharkanda village close to the Bithari border outpost on Wednesday. The gold biscuits were cleverly hidden inside a black polythene packet, the BSF stated.
During questioning, the minor revealed that his mother instructed him to transport the gold to a specific location. The boy has been handed over to the appropriate authorities for further legal action, as per the official statement.
