Odisha Job Scam Uncovered: Arrests Made
Two individuals have been arrested by Odisha Police for allegedly defrauding people in western Odisha with false job promises. They created a fake company, collecting Rs 12,000 from applicants under the guise of offering sanitation jobs. The suspects deceived job seekers out of approximately Rs 2 crore.

Odisha Police have apprehended two individuals on charges of deceiving people across western Odisha by offering them false job promises.
According to a complaint filed at the Burla police station in the Sambalpur district, the accused, supported by associates, formed a fake company claiming authority to provide jobs related to sanitation work across four western Odisha districts.
The duo extracted Rs 12,000 from each applicant promising a daily wage of Rs 400, swindling nearly Rs 2 crore. Police confiscated Rs 62 lakh, mobile phones, and four-wheelers, and investigations continue.
