A video shared by NCP (SP) MLA Rohit Pawar has circulated, revealing serious allegations against a relative of a Maharashtra minister. The daughter of retired educator Ramakant Tandle has accused the minister's son-in-law of securing a loan under her father's name and subsequently failing to repay it.
According to the daughter's statement in the video, Tandle, who served as a teacher in Ujana, Latur district, from 1986 until 2020, attempted suicide due to financial distress and stress caused by this unpaid debt. The minister's son-in-law allegedly issued fraudulent cheques as part of the cover-up, which are still unresolved in ongoing legal proceedings.
Despite the gravity of the accusations, the local police have reportedly not filed a formal complaint. Assistant Police Inspector Manik Doke stated that police have been unable to record Tandle's statement due to his unconscious state. Rohit Pawar questioned police inaction via social media, criticizing their perceived bias towards political leaders.
