In a significant drug bust, a BCA graduate was arrested in Noida with 3 kg of charas worth Rs 1.5 crore. The arrest was made by the Sector 58 police, highlighting an ongoing investigation into a wider drug smuggling network.
The accused, Shubham Kumar from Meerut, allegedly sourced the contraband from hilly regions and supplied it across Delhi-NCR at premium prices, according to the police. During questioning, he admitted to using the illicit profits in the stock market.
Authorities are actively pursuing leads to trace Shubham's associate, Vaibhav Kumar, and others connected to the smuggling operation. An FIR has been lodged under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act, signaling a determined effort to unravel the drug distribution chain.
