Early Morning Shooting Shakes Haridevpur

A woman named Mousumi Halder was critically injured in a shooting incident in Haridevpur, a southern area of the city. The attack occurred around 6.20 am on Kalipada Mukherjee Road. The suspect was apprehended and is under questioning. An investigation suggests a personal motive behind the attack.

Early Monday morning, a woman was shot in the southern part of the city's Haridevpur neighborhood, police reported. Mousumi Halder, aged 37, was immediately taken to MR Bangur Hospital, where her condition is critical, authorities stated.

The attacker initially evaded capture but was later detained and is currently being interrogated, according to a law enforcement official.

The shooting occurred at approximately 6.20 am on Kalipada Mukherjee Road, with the woman sustaining a gunshot wound to her back. A preliminary investigation indicates the motive was personal. Halder has since been transferred to SSKM Hospital for further treatment.
