Daring Handbag Snatching from NRI in Delhi Unveiled

Two men were arrested in Delhi for allegedly snatching a handbag from a NRI woman. The accused targeted her after she arrived from the UK, snatching her bag and fleeing on a motorcycle. The police recovered stolen items and tracked the culprits through CCTV footage, leading to their arrest.

The Delhi Police have successfully arrested two men in connection with a handbag snatching incident involving an NRI woman in the Pandav Nagar area of east Delhi, authorities reported.

The incident, which occurred on October 28, involved the accused, Rohit and Mukul, targeting a recent UK returnee. According to police, the duo approached the victim on a motorcycle and snatched her handbag before making a swift escape.

In a significant breakthrough, investigators recovered pivotal items, including a motorcycle, gold ornaments, foreign currency, and identification documents, from the suspects. After thorough analysis of over 150 CCTV cameras covering a 15-kilometer area, a tip-off ultimately led to the arrests. The arrested confessed to the crime, motivated by financial strain, revealing they specifically targeted the NRI, anticipating she would have valuables.
