In a tragic turn of events, a 50-year-old police officer, Constable Karan Singh, collapsed while on duty and succumbed to a cardiac arrest en route to the hospital, according to police sources on Tuesday.

Singh, serving at the Nidhouli Kalan Police Station in Etah, was initially rushed to a local government hospital before being referred to Agra due to his critical condition. Unfortunately, he did not survive the journey.

The constable's body was brought to Etah Police Lines where colleagues, including senior officers, paid tribute with a guard of honour. Singh, remembered for his dedication and calm nature, joined the police in 1995. His family has been assured of departmental support by Senior Superintendent of Police Shyam Narayan Singh. Post-ceremony, Singh's body was conveyed to his hometown for a solemn farewell attended by numerous police personnel.
