The principal of a convent school in Mumbai is under investigation following allegations of assaulting a Class 10 student during Children's Day celebrations, officials reported on Tuesday.
Vakola Police Station registered the FIR against the school head on Monday after the student's family lodged a complaint detailing the incident.
The parent claimed that on Children's Day, the principal accused the student of damaging school property, leading to a confrontation that allegedly ended in physical assault. Legal charges under the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita and Child Protection Act have been filed.
