In the wake of Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar's portfolio allocation, several ministers assumed their new roles, including BJP state chief Dilip Jaiswal and JD(U)'s Ashok Chowdhary. Jaiswal took charge of the industries department and Chowdhary of the Rural Works department, reflecting a move towards dynamic governance.
Emphasizing development, Jaiswal announced plans for the industries department to craft a comprehensive investment roadmap within ten days. Focused on job creation for youth and reducing migration, the department aims to position Bihar as a fully developed state within five years.
Panchayati Raj department's new head, Deepak Prakash, highlighted the government's commitment to empowering local governance. By enhancing the powers of panchayats, they aim to foster inclusive, transparent, and accountable local units.
