Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar has launched a groundbreaking initiative, disbursing Rs 1,000 crore to 10 lakh beneficiaries under the Mukhyamantri Mahila Rojgar Yojana. The scheme targets female entrepreneurship across the state.

In his fifth consecutive term, Kumar facilitated Rs 10,000 payments to each beneficiary using the DBT system. Rural Development Minister Shravan Kumar highlighted that the scheme has reached over 1.56 crore women, with promises of further financial aid for self-employment success.

Despite accusations of vote-buying and corruption, the initiative supposedly played a crucial role in securing a strong electoral mandate for the ruling NDA. Officials assure that any corruption complaints are being addressed, while encouraging non-registered women to join Jeevika self-help groups and claim their benefits.
