Lieutenant General DS Kushwah, General Officer Commanding of the Maharashtra, Gujarat and Goa Area, recently met with Governor Acharya Devvrat to evaluate the current cooperation between the Army and state authorities. The discussions were centered on military civil fusion as a critical strategy for regional security and preparedness.
The engagement stressed the Army's support in disaster management, emphasizing the role of military alongside civil authorities during emergencies like floods. Additionally, initiatives aimed at improving welfare for Veterans and Veer Naris were integral topics, focusing on making assistance more effective and responsive.
The meeting underscored the importance of integrated facilities for ex-servicemen under the Sainik Sankul concept and the enhancement of district-level welfare offices.
