Governor CV Ananda Bose has issued a plea for calm to the people of West Bengal, emphasizing the need to ignore provocative statements and rumors. This call to action comes ahead of the foundation stone-laying ceremony of a mosque in Murshidabad district, designed after the Babri Masjid, by suspended TMC MLA Humayun Kabir.

Bose has instructed the state government to undertake all necessary measures to maintain peace and order across the region. The Lok Bhavan confirmed this directive in a social media update, underscoring the governor's commitment to ensuring no disturbances occur.

An 'Access Point Cell,' led by retired IAS officer SK Pattanayak, has been established to monitor the situation continuously. This cell will stay operational around the clock, where the public can report any threats or inappropriate comments. The contact points include various phone numbers and an email address, with the governor actively overseeing developments.
