The brutal murder of a 20-year-old nursing student in Rajasthan has triggered widespread outrage and protests. The student was found with her throat slashed in a rented room in Khairthal-Tijara district.
The accused, Upendra Kumar, a 21-year-old from Mahendergarh, Haryana, was apprehended as he tried to escape the scene of the crime. The victim's father claimed his daughter was kidnapped, raped, and murdered.
Local residents blocked the main road in protest, and police quickly stepped in to disperse the crowd. Opposition leader Tikaram Jully criticized the BJP government for failing to ensure the safety of women in the state, highlighting this tragic incident as evidence of the growing dangers they face.
