In a recent address, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath invoked the legacy of Dr Bhimrao Ambedkar, stressing the significance of identifying as Indian above all else. He made these remarks during the 63rd foundation day event of the Uttar Pradesh Homeguards.

The event coincided with 'Mahaparinirvaan Diwas,' commemorating the death anniversary of Dr Ambedkar, a day celebrated as an inspiration day, according to Adityanath. The Chief Minister elaborated on Ambedkar's teaching that identity should transcend family, caste, region, and language, fostering unity among Indians.

Known as Babasaheb, Dr Ambedkar was a renowned jurist, economist, and social reformer. He notably chaired the Drafting Committee of the Constituent Assembly and served as India's first minister for law and justice, leaving a lasting impact on the country's legal framework and social justice system.
