Atul was on the roof of a friend's bike repair shop when the powerful explosion took everyone by surprise, prompting an immediate response from emergency services. Atul was initially treated at Barsar's Civil Hospital but was later transferred to PGI, Chandigarh, due to the severity of his injuries. Early statements suggested Diwali firecrackers were to blame, but police are skeptical.
Police have registered a case, expressing doubts about the presence of potentially illegal explosives, as investigative teams sweep the area for evidence. CCTV footage is being reviewed to identify two individuals said to be with Atul during the incident, as investigations continue under DSP Lalman's supervision.
