Norwegian Foreign Minister Espen Barth Eide has stressed the urgency of establishing a stabilization force in Gaza, warning that the present ceasefire is on shaky ground. Speaking at the Doha Forum in Qatar, Eide highlighted the importance of a peacekeeping force to support long-term stability.
Eide noted that the current ceasefire in Gaza is fragile and unlikely to endure for many weeks without an effective stabilizing presence. He advocated for international intervention to provide the necessary support for maintaining peace.
At the Doha gathering, Eide underscored that the international stabilization force must act swiftly to prevent further deterioration in the region, as the temporary peace is in a precarious state.
