Police have arrested four individuals involved in a major jewellery theft in Jamshedpur city of Jharkhand. The accused looted gold and silver jewellery worth Rs 16 lakh from the residence of Mahesh Goud when the family attended a wedding on December 29.
The arrests, conducted on Saturday, followed a complaint filed by Goud on December 1, according to police sources. Superintendent of Police (Rural) Rishabha Garg confirmed the burglary incident and the subsequent police action.
During the investigation, authorities recovered some stolen goods. This arrest marks a significant step in curbing crime in the region, highlighting the efficiency of local law enforcement in handling such cases.
