In the Samba district of Jammu and Kashmir, a Border Security Force (BSF) jawan, Constable Sukhdeep Singh, was discovered deceased under mysterious circumstances, officials reported on Tuesday.
Sukhdeep Singh, originating from Ferozpur in Punjab, was found in a canal at Rehiyan village on Monday evening. After being transported by locals to the Samba district hospital, he was declared dead, according to officials. Initial police investigations indicate the possibility of an accidental fall from a motorcycle into the canal. Authorities have commenced inquest proceedings to determine the exact cause of death.
In a separate and tragic incident, a Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) constable passed away after collapsing at a camp in the Nagrota area of Jammu late Monday night. The deceased was taken to Government Medical College hospital for postmortem. Early indications suggest a cardiac arrest as the cause of death, officials noted.
