Harris, known for his acclaimed works on stage, was detained on November 16 at Naha airport after a customs officer discovered 0.78 grams of MDMA in his baggage.
Japanese law, noted for its tough stance on drug-related offenses, poses severe penalties. However, local prosecutors have not disclosed if Harris will face official charges.
