In a dramatic turn of events in northwest Delhi's Ashok Vihar, three people, one of them a minor, have been arrested for stabbing an 18-year-old multiple times during a drunken brawl, police reported on Tuesday.
The incident occurred on December 7, with the police being alerted around 11 pm via a PCR call about the stabbing. The victim, Gautam from the Wazirpur Industrial Area, was found with severe stab wounds and was quickly transported to Deep Chand Bandhu Hospital, according to Deputy Commissioner of Police (Northwest) Bhisham Singh.
The attack was initially a blind case, lacking eyewitnesses or identified suspects, until the police utilized CCTV footage and technical leads to piece together the attack's sequence, which identified the perpetrators. The investigation revealed that Gautam, allegedly intoxicated, had instigated a conflict by slapping a juvenile, leading to the attack by the minor and his associates Jatin alias Akki, and Manish, both locals from the same area.
