A Special Investigation Team (SIT) has been constituted to delve into the abetment of suicide charges against Anant Garje, the personal assistant to Maharashtra minister Pankaja Munde. The case, filed in Mumbai, concerns the tragic demise of Garje's wife, as confirmed by official sources on Tuesday.

Under the leadership of Deputy Commissioner of Police (Zone 4) Ragasudha R, the SIT comprises eight police personnel. The team was officially formed on December 5, signaling intensified efforts to reveal the circumstances surrounding this high-profile case.

Garje was taken into custody last month for allegedly driving his dentist-wife, Gauri Palve, to take her own life amid domestic conflicts. A formal complaint by Palve's father led to charges against Garje and two of his relatives. The couple, who married in February, faced turmoil leading to Palve's tragic death at their Worli residence.
