In a significant move against the drug trade, police have attached a residential property valued at Rs 2 crore. This property belongs to Fayaz Ahmad Bhat, father of an accused drug peddler, under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act.
The action is part of a strategic crackdown on infrastructure supporting illegal narcotics activities. The involved party, Manzoor Ahmad Bhat, is under investigation for violations of the NDPS Act, registered at Parimpora police station.
Authorities determined that the assets were acquired with proceeds from drug trafficking, prompting legal action to dismantle these operations. This attachment was sanctioned under Section 68-F of the NDPS Act, highlighting the severity of the government's anti-drug measures.
