Nightclub Tragedy: Ajay Gupta in Custody as Goa Fire Case Develops
Ajay Gupta, linked to Goa's 'Birch by Romeo Lane' nightclub, was arrested following a deadly fire that claimed 25 lives. Detained after arriving in Goa, Gupta faces questioning alongside already arrested staff. Co-owners detained in Thailand are under international scrutiny for their involvement.

Ajay Gupta, who is associated with the fire-ravaged 'Birch by Romeo Lane' nightclub in Goa, has been taken into police custody for a week. He was brought to Goa from Delhi on a transit remand for questioning related to the tragic blaze incident.
The devastating fire claimed 25 lives, including 20 staff members and five tourists, at the nightclub in North Goa around midnight on December 6. The authorities had already sent out a Look Out Circular against Gupta to track his movements.
In addition to Gupta, five managers and staff members have been previously arrested. Meanwhile, co-owners Saurabh and Gaurav Luthra have been detained in Phuket, Thailand, following an Interpol Blue Corner Notice issued against them.
