The Delhi High Court declined to entertain a public interest litigation (PIL) seeking increased compensation for passengers affected by IndiGo flight cancellations linked to new Flight Duty Time Limitations (FDTL) in November and December.
Chief Justice Devendra Kumar Upadhyaya and Justice Tushar Rao Gedela advised integrating this plea into an ongoing related PIL, emphasizing the judiciary's role in expanding petitions under public interest law.
The Centre for Accountability and Systemic Change cited severe passenger inconvenience and challenged the Directorate of Civil Aviation's oversight. Indigo faces scrutiny over disrupted schedules and passenger dissatisfaction.
