India summoned the Bangladeshi envoy, Riaz Hamidullah, on Wednesday to express serious concerns over threats posed by extremist elements targeting its mission in Dhaka.

The Ministry of External Affairs criticized the lack of action by the interim Bangladeshi government, stating that no evidence or investigation results have been shared regarding recent incidents.

India stressed the importance of preserving peace and stability in Bangladesh, urging for diplomatic safety and fair elections in the country.
