The directives came in response to recent tragic events, including a horrific multi-vehicle pile-up on the Yamuna Expressway resulting in 13 fatalities and several injuries due to the adverse weather. Adityanath instructed key officials to be on heightened alert, ensuring essential road lighting and taking preventive measures against future incidents.

Additional measures include setting up shelters for the homeless and safeguarding cattle, while drivers are advised to adhere to new safety guidelines during travel in fog. These steps reflect the administration's determined approach to providing immediate relief and preventing further tragedies.
