Ajay Gupta, a co-owner of the nightclub 'Birch by Romeo Lane' in Goa, has submitted a bail application following his arrest related to a catastrophic fire that killed 25 people earlier this month.
The arrest took place in New Delhi on December 10, after which Gupta was held in police custody as ordered by a Mapusa court. The blaze occurred around midnight on December 6, tragically taking the lives of 20 staff members and five tourists.
Numerous arrests have been made, including that of Gupta and fellow owners Gaurav and Saurabh Luthra, deported from Thailand. The court proceedings continue as a lookout notice remains active for another owner, Surinder Kumar Khosla.
