Russia Claims Key Village in Southeastern Ukraine Amid Ongoing Tensions

Russia's Defence Ministry announced on Friday the capture of Kosivtseve, a village in Ukraine's southeastern Zaporizhzhia region, marking a significant milestone in their slow westward advance.
Despite territorial losses to Russian forces, Ukrainian troops continue to mount a defense, with significant incidents, including command posts being misled into retreat by Russian soldiers.
Both sides report ongoing skirmishes, with the Russian side leveraging drones and strategically reclaiming areas, while Ukraine sends reinforcements to areas such as Myrnohrad, underscoring the complexity of the frontline dynamics.
