A New Jersey woman of Indian descent has been arrested over the alleged murder of her two children. The woman has been identified as 35-year-old Priyatharsini Natarajan, living in Hillsborough.
Somerset County Prosecutor John McDonald confirmed that Natarajan's arrest followed a distress call from her husband, who found their boys, aged 5 and 7, unconscious upon returning home from work.
Despite swift intervention by law enforcement and medical personnel, the children were pronounced dead at the scene. The police charged Natarajan with two counts of first-degree murder as investigations continue under the Somerset County Prosecutor's Office.
